This series contains Morning Reports, Pay Reports, Reports of National Guard Duty Performed and Sick Reports, for units of the Florida National Guard from 1924-1940 and 1946-1953. The reports were submitted to document attendance at drills, summer camps, and special duties. These reports provide statistical information concerning the presence, health, and pay of the Guardsmen. Brief outlines of events illustrate the type of training and duty performed. Also included in some correspondence from the Adjutant General's Office concerning the proper and timely execution of these reports.

The Florida National Guard was established in 1909 (Ch. 5930, Laws) replacing the Florida State Troops. From 1921 until 1973, the Guard was placed under the Military Dept (Ch. 8502, Laws). In 1973, the Military Dept. became the Dept. of Military Affairs (Ch. 73-93, Laws). The Adjutant General has served as the military head of the Guard since its inception.
